Dennis Glen Bruner

Dennis Glen Bruner, 72, of Navasota, passed away Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, at CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

Dennis was born in Houston, the son of James Kendrick and Wilma Wynell Barnett Bruner.  He graduated from Conroe High School in 1972 and began a long career in the oil field.  Working in the oil field, Dennis lived where the work was.  He moved to Navasota in 2017 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and “tinkering”, but his greatest love was children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kim Renae Defoor Bruner of Navasota; his children, Jesse Bruner, Sarah Martin and husband Adam, all of Navasota, Kasey Juel and husband Eric of Montgomery and Roseanna Sontag of Magnolia; a brother Gary Leonard Bruner and wife Beth of Lake Whitney; grandchildren, Dylan, Autumn and fiancé Mark Lang, Brandon, Amber and Ashley Juel, Paul Hamaker and wife Kellie, Tyler, Brookelyn and Tristian Martin, Payton and Levi Bruner, Rylee and fiancé Jace Comley, Brody and Dustin Sontag and two grandchildren that preceded him in death, Corbin and Dakota.

Honoring his wishes, there will not be any services.
