Dennis was not just a co-worker. He was a very good friend. He was always willing to lend a hand when I needed help at the college, and I appreciated him for that.
Dennis mentioned his wife often and it was easy to see how devoted he was to her.

Dennis was a generous, hardworking man with a good sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family as they go through this difficult time. God bless each one.

Dennis's Obituary

Dennis D. Campbell, Jr. of Crozet, Virginia passed away on March 18, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Campbell. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy C. Reed of Phoenix and son Marc Campbell of Afton. He retired from Piedmont Virginia Community College of Charlottesville. Dennis was also previously a long-time member of the Crozet Volunteer Fire Department. Per Mr. Campbell’s request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA in the memory of Dennis.
