Dennis's Obituaries

Mr. Dennis Arthur Flieth age 71 of Rocky Knob Drive Young Harris passed away on Sunday December 10, 2017 at his home with his loving wife by his side following an extended illness. Mr. Flieth was born on November 11, 1946 in Evergreen Park. IL., the son of the late George Flieth and the late Beverly Rogers Flieth. He was a veteran of the US Army of the Vietnam War. He retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company with over thirty years of service. Dennis was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. Dennis was a member of Old Union Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Flieth are his loving wife and best friend of forty six years, Sarah Faye Healey Flieth of Young Harris, one daughter, Lisa Ruger of Marietta, one son and daughter in law, Brian and Malissa Flieth of Port St. Lucie, FL., two brothers and sisters in law, Darwin and Judy Flieth of Vero Beach, FL., Otis and Kimberlee Flieth of Todd, NC., one sister, Florence Soto of Port St. Lucie, six grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Briana, William, Tyler and Ryan, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Old Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. Special music will be presented by Trey Rogers and Juilianna Smith. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Old Union Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Flieth. The Family will meet with friends on Wednesday at the church from 12-1:00 pm. The North Ga Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors.A memoraial service will also be held on Feb. 20, 2018 at7:00 pm from Pure Ministries International 3731 Oleander Ave. Fort Pierce, FL. The family will meet with friends from 6:30-7:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
