dennis greene will be grearly missed in the community. he was always outside working when he was well. never did he fail to to say "hey Hon' how you doing? How is your family?" a kind man. everyone in community knew how much he loved his family.he will be missed

Ella, Laura, Marjorie, Dwayne, Olivia, Rodney and extended family, I was so sorry to hear about Dennis. I have fond memories of many days spent at your house as a child. Dennis was such a kind and loving man. He was a wonderful father and husband too. My prayers are with your family during this time.

Dennis's Obituary
Lenoir, NC- Dennis Lecoy Greene, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1932, in Lenoir, to Coy and Addie Greene. After graduating from Collettsville High School, he enlisted in the Air Force, where his career in automotive mechanics began. He later worked as a professional mechanic at Smith Cross Roads Ford Company and Singer Furniture until retirement.
Dennis truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; riding his Harley and road trips across the country with his wife Ella and close friends, gardening, family beach trips, and spending time with children and grandchildren. Friends knew him for his great sense of humor, laughter, smile and big heart.
He was dearly loved and will be forever missed by his wife of 64 years, Ella (Plemmons) Greene his five children; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Luis Suguiyama, of Maryland, daughter and son-in-law Marjorie and Charles Long, of Charlotte, son Jasper Dwayne Greene and fiancé Sheila Bienge, daughter and son-in-law Olivia and Jeff Pitts, and son Rodney Greene of Lenoir, six grandchildren; Yuri Suguiyama, Emily Long, Erica Suguiyama Campbell and husband Hunter, Tyler Long, Ashley and Bethany Vines and great-grandson, Wagner Campbell and brothers, Wayne Greene of Lenoir and Larry Greene of Oxford, Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Lenoir Church of Christ, 1126 Powell Rd., Lenoir, where he was a faithful member. Military Honors will be provided by the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkland Ave. NW, Lenoir, or Lenoir Church of Christ.
