Dennis J.'s Obituary

Dennis J. O'Connell, Jr., 71, of Salem, NH died Wednesday, Jan. 7th at Lowell General Hospital.Dennis grew up in Methuen, MA and was the son of the late Willina (Sheperd) and Dennis O'Connell, Sr. He retired from Mass Electric where he worked for 40 years. Dennis was a life member of the Lawrence Elks. He enjoyed boating, going to Foxwoods and especially spending time with his family.Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Connie (Lynch) O'Connell of Salem; his sons, Dennis O'Connell, III of Salem and Michael O'Connell and wife Kim of Derry, NH; his daughters, Judith and husband Alan Woodman of Hampstead, NH; Patsy O'Connell and husband Joe Couture of Salem and Mary and husband Arthur Halloran of Haverhill, MA; his brother Kevin O'Connell and wife Kathy of Salem, NH and his sister, Susan and husband Paul Hartwell of Dracut, MA, 6 grandchildren: Nicholas, Noah and Ian Woodman, Jessica Dubois and Emma and Maggie O'Connell. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 10th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem, NH.Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
