Not sure what to say?

Cindy, Katie and Kelsey,

Cindy,
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr Mack and I met briefly when he came to Woerner School to help his beloved daughter Katie prepare her classroom for the upcoming school year, talking with him, I felt an immediate connection ( those of us in Healthcare tend to unknowingly gravitate to one another) Mr. Mack was a man of tremendous care, compassion and strength and i am blessed to have met him.

Cindy, Katie, and Kelsey. My heart is breaking of Dennis's passing. I just want to hug all of you during this sad time but I know you'll all rally together and support each other with love because that's what Dennis would do. I know even during the sad and really difficult times in the upcoming days, weeks, months, and years, you will be kind and patient with each other because that's what Dennis would do. I am blessed to have known Dennis. A remarkable person, husband, father, professional,...

Dennis's Obituary

Mack, Dennis J., baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Beloved husband of Cindy J. Mack (nee Burford); loving father of Katie (Sean) Gaffney and Kelsey (Jacob) Bourret; dear grandfather of Camden Mack, Mason Black, Violet Gaffney, baby girl Bourret and the late Keller Mack; our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Born on March 24th, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis dedicated his life to helping others, both personally and professionally.

Dennis spent his career as a respiratory therapist, specializing in the neonatal intensive care unit. His work touched countless lives, as he cared for the most vulnerable with skill, dedication, and deep compassion. He took great pride in his role, and those who worked alongside him knew him as both a calming presence and a tireless advocate for his tiny patients.

More than his profession, Dennis will be remembered for his kind heart and his constant willingness to care for others. Whether through his work or in his everyday life, he lived with generosity and empathy.

Outside of work, Dennis lived life to the fullest. He was an avid beach lover, with a special fondness for the white sands of Gulf Shores, Alabama, where he and his beloved wife Cindy enjoyed yearly vacations together. Whether walking the shoreline, swimming in the ocean, or watching the waves, the beach was his place of peace and joy.

Dennis was also a passionate soccer enthusiast and a longtime coach and referee, proudly supporting the game and his daughters. His love for soccer was matched only by his love for motorcycles - riding them, building them, and talking about them.

But above all else, Dennis was most proud of being "Papa". His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he often said it was the best name he ever had. He was a storyteller, a supporter, and a steady presence in the lives of those he loved.

Dennis's legacy is one of care, dedication, and quiet strength. His impact will not be forgotten, but will continue to live through his grandchildren.
