Not sure what to say?

My prayers are with the family—may he rest in peace. Beginning in 1956 Denny and I attended class, played football and socialized together. He provided us with outstanding data processing assistance for many years. We will miss him. God Bless.

Clear Skies Bouquet

My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I have wonderful memories of Denny from years ago!

May he rest in Christ’s peace. Our thoughts and prayers of comfort for you and your family. Michele & Michael Mattingly.

I have fond memories of Mr. McBreen driving us all around in his dune buggy. Sorry for your loss. May he have a smooth ride through the pearly gates.

Obituary

Dennis's Obituary

Dennis C. McBreen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born to the late Lillian (nee Armbruster) and Charles McBreen on March 27, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Denny was the beloved husband of Sharon McBreen (nee Bemmes); loving father of Dave (Lisa) McBreen, Keith (Renee) McBreen, Julie (Kevin) Mazes, and Lori (Chris) Enginger; cherished grandfather of Erin (Steve), Matt (Rebekah), A.J., Maya, Drew, Carley, Sean, Claire, and Lucy; treasured great-grandfather of Penny; and dear brother of Karen (Bruce) Gehring, Gary (the late Diane) McBreen, and the late Bruce (Anne) McBreen. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Denny will be remembered for his unconditional love and ability to put the needs of others before his own. He was an incredible family man who especially cherished his role as a grandfather. He could often be found on the sidelines of a sporting event or the rows of a recital, beaming with pride over his grandchildren. Denny was an avid reader, enthusiastic traveler, and a private pilot. He loved traveling with his family, especially to the beach, where they captured precious moments on film that he would later use to create memory albums to share. In addition, Denny was a proud graduate of Roger Bacon High School (Class of 1960) and enjoyed cheering on the Spartans. He will be missed tremendously not only by his family, but all blessed enough to have known him.

Memorial Gathering in his honor will be held on Monday, September 8th from 9:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 3450 Lumardo Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, Sts. Peter & Paul Academy, or to a charity of your choice. Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family during this time.
