Dennis Micheal Wetherell, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on May 19, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Dennis was born in Connell, Washington on August 4th, 1953 to Edward Wetherell and Barbara Sutton Wetherell. Over the years, he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and unwavering support for those he loved. He was a proud father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in watching his grandkids excel in their activities. Whether it was a game, performance, or school event, Dennis was always there—cheering the loudest and beaming with pride.
Throughout his career, Dennis worked for Frito Lay and Yellowstone Plastics as well as owned and operated Taylor’s Quickstop. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. In his free time, he was a passionate fan of the Seattle Seahawks, never missing a chance to support his team.
Dennis is survived by his sons, Alex (Andrea) Wetherell and their children Tayson, Lydia, and Dylan; and Scott (Kylee) Wetherell and their children Jensen, Briggs, Piper, and Hayden. His love for his family and his role as "Grandpa" was the cornerstone of his life.
Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 24,2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho, 101 West Main Street. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
