I keep telling that story of how you had everyone over to your apartment during CDC, all pumped on Monster for days and you guys didn't want to give me any because you thought I'd be super hyper, but then Kaff ended up being the hyper one and I had to keep her attention. That was great. I wish we could have more of those days.

We always enjoyed our times with Derek . He was a bright interesting and interested young man. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with you and Brenda at this difficult time. May you find strength in the memories of all the quality hours you spent together as he was growing up. In our eyes no father was ever more dedicated to making his sons life special.

Rick,
We are friends forvever. The key word forever. Our trails are not always long together, but the beautiful trail we uniquely walk along together is our true blessing. Derek's trail, and his walk with you, was too short, but full of kindness and happiness, which you both shared with all that you past. Derek's soul is our blessing forever.
I am proud you are my friend and Derek's father. I pray that your heart heals with time, and healing happens with a feeling of pride, of...
