Not sure what to say?

My father Stephen a. Underwood , jr. was a rifleman in company a 142 in the selestat battle. Mr. Mann's company fought off the onslaught of many hundreds of Germans who had company b surrounded. Dewey directing fire against tanks with artillery falling around him. Heinrich Himmler was in charge of battle 12-12-1944. The entire battalion received the presidential unit citation.
Sure would appreciate photo of this great American. Thanks, [email protected]

My,Dad was Pedro(Pete Lopez) from Edinburg Texas. He passed away in November of 2011 at 97. I clearly remember him talking about Dewey Mann. We had some great Dad’s.
Pete Lopez Jr.

Thank you Mr Mann you have a lovely daughter.

I was blessed to have had Mr. Mann be a part of my life. My Dad (Frank Gaul) served with Mr. Mann during WWII. Mr. Mann never stopped caring for his men which I saw repeatedly over the years . I attended many of the Company B reunions with my Dad and got to know Mr. Mann and others that my Dad served with in WWII. These men formed an unbreakable bond, the depth that can only really be known by them. We, the generation that followed, owe them all everything. I wish I had known of Mr....

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad, your grandfather and great grandfather. My mom dated him when she was 19. I can't tell you how wonderful he was to me as a teacher for I taught on the West Side of Charleston: He gave me rugs for my classroom. Dewey was so accomplished and a great businessman. I'm so glad an article had been done about him long while back. Sending prayers and sympathy.

Linda, Ellen and Wilson, my Mom called to let me know that your Dad had passed away and I wanted to say how very sorry I was to hear that. I always thought your Dad was such a kind and generous person. I know that you and your family will miss him greatly.

So sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and your family.

Linda and family, I'm sorry for your loss. He was deeply loved by his family. I know he meant a lot to everyone that had the honor to meet him and have him be a part in their life. The kids and I always enjoyed hearing his stories and being around him.
