Diane, your smile captured me for these 4 years that I lived at the Chambers Point Ayrsley's Seniors Apartments. I love the company we kept with each other as we watched our soap operas (The Young and the Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful and the newest one Beyond the Gates together.
I truly loved bringing you the meals we had from Klarissa of Renewed Inspiration and from Suzanne of Charlotte Feeds.

Dianna's Obituary

     Dianna Ann Rivers Lewis Hines, 81, of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Atrium Pineville.

      Dianna Lewis-Hines was born February 2, 1944, in Chesterfield, South Carolina to the late Sidney and Julia B. Rivers.  She married James Hines of North Carolina on July 13, 1996.

     Dianna worked as a caregiver and nanny for most of her career for the Carr family until she became unable to work and retired in 2012.  she enjoyed cooking and feeding others, reading and spending time with her beloved family both near and far.

     She attended Every Nation Baptist Church with Pastor John Uit de Flesch, who began bringing church to Dianna when she became sick and was unable to attend.  Dianna was a beacon of light to all who crossed her path.  No matter the circumstance or chance of meeting she always greeted everyone with her bright glowing smile.  She will forever be remembered for her kind and gentle ways.  Dianna treated everyone with love and compassion.

     Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Julia B. Rivers; her son, Casey T. Davis; her grandson, Keyo9n Dial; along with ten brothers and seven sisters.  

     She leaves to mourn her husband of 29 years, James Hines of Charlotte, NC; three nephews whom she raised as her own, Gabri El Davis (Shantel), Christopher Davis and Demetrais Davis, Sr., all of Charlotte, NC; thirteen grandchildren, Kierstan Davis, Keyera Gordon, Timothy Gordon, Ronald Porter, Tamya Thompson, Thaddius Davis, Kasey Burris (Brackett), Deviyon Osborne, Martika Davis, Cameron Davis, Demetrais Davis Jr., Queyana Smith, and Shelldon Davis; twelve great-grandchildren, Makaila Davis, Nehemiah Bingham, Nasir Davis, Nakai Davis, Journie Davis, Kylen Burris, Brackett Burris Jr., Winter Burris, Arbriya Anthony, Lennox Adams, Indya Young and Sydneigh Smith; one sister, Julia Abner of Clinton Township, MI; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who all loved her dearly.
