Domingo DeJesus BalcarcelOf LansingPassed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the age of 82. Domingo was born on May 12, 1933 to the late Jesus and Maria (Gomez) Balcarcel in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He married the love of his life Juana Martha Balcarcel on June 27, 1959 and they became residents of Lansing in 1965. In Lansing, Domingo worked for Motor Wheel in the factory. He is preceded in death by a son, Domingo de Jesus Balcarcel Jr. and a grandson, Michael Tomas Balcarcel. He is survived by his loving wife, Juana Martha Balcarcel; his three sons, Orlando V. (Veronica) Balcarcel, Erick G. (Georgina) Balcarcel, and Marvin O. Balcarcel, a brother, Juan (Gloria) Mendez, a sister Marta (Venancio) Romero, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 520 East Mount Hope Avenue, Lansing 48910. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the Minkel Family and the Thomas Family. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Domingo.
