Not sure what to say?

We knew Don from when Barb worked for Maryanne Brush at the Evergreen Library. We will always remember his environmental works when he and Carolyn headed the Denver Parks and Recreation Department. It was a pleasure to have known him.

I worked for Denver Parks for 36 years. He and Carylon were the best Managers we ever had. They made a difference in my life that I will always be grateful for. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends.

Thank you Don and Carolyn for your exemplary public service and many contributions to Denver especially during the great Peña administration.

Oh Katrina, my dear longest time friend ever,
You and your mom and CB are so lucky to have had the joy of living with and knowing and loving your dad, but that in turn, means the sorrow of this huge hole.
I treasure the most recent years of visits with you all and the warmth of your family. I am, and always was, in total and complete and absolute awe of your wonderful relationship. Your family has always been a second family for me and I cherish the time we had together.

Carolyn, Gregory and Katrina. Don was a role model for me early in my professional career. I will always value the opportunity and privilege to have known him. He was indeed a gentleman and a steward of the built environment and cultural landscape. My sympathies go out to you and your families.

Hello from Linda Gilbert Davis, middle daughter of Vivian and Dick Gilbert. Our family sends our heartfelt condolences to all of your family.
I have fond memories of babysitting Greg and Katrina. I also enjoyed my time teaching them to swim. I still have the little ceramic owl they gave me as a thank you.
Mom and Dad loved building your beautiful home in the University Park Neighborhood. I know their involvement in the development of the Ninth Street Neighborhood was very...

Carolyn, I was fortunate to live next door to Don and you as I grew up. Don and you influenced my life for the better, more than you may realize. You two were exemplary pillars of the Denver community in so many different ways. Thank you for that. We send our deepest condolences to you, Katrina, Greg, and the entire family

Both Don and Carolyn Etter were treasured while I worked at Historic Denver those many years ago. Their knowledge of Curtis Park was invaluable when I oversaw a grant program for the area. His gentle sole will be missed by all.

What an incredible human! So sorry for your loss!
