Dr. Bloum was my dentist. He talked me into working for him, part-time, while I was still in high school. He trained me as a chairside assistant and soon found out I wasn't cut out for that position. He then trained me on the front desk. I worked with him for only a year or less, but I learned a lot from him. When I quit to become a mother, I truly missed him and his family. Many years later I took another job with a dentist in Chevy Chase and worked there for 34 years. I owe that career...

So sorry to hear of Dr Bloums passing. I worked as a hygienist for him from 1981-86. I have many fond memories of working for him; it was a wonderful beginning to my 38 year career. He was a very caring dentist and I really enjoyed working with him and his wife Carol during those years. I was in my mid 20s back then and they made me feel like family. My condolences to the family...

Dr. Bloum had the eye and skill of an artist he was without peer. He was kind, funny and always had something interesting to talk about. The Bloum/Bradley family history made a visit to the dentist much less intimidating and whenever Mrs. Bloum was at the front desk it was an added bonus. We are so sorry for your loss and will never forget him!

Don was a classmate, our best dentist, a golfing buddy, good father and a friend. He loved the shore and being away from the DC traffic.

Dr. Bloom was such a constant fixture of my childhood. He was an amazing dentist with a ready smile and miles of patience for a little girl who didnt like to go to the dentist. Praying for the entire family and sending all our love from the Bradley Family.
