Beloved husband of Michele Dahlem (nee Lenich); dear father of Laura (Mike) Van Well, David (Tatiana) Dahlem, Terry Dahlem, and Gerri Ann Dahlem; proud grandfather Luke and Charlie Van Well, Shane and Jackson Dahlem, Josh Dahlem, Simone (Garrett) Mabry, James (Alyssa), Andrew and Jennifer Smith; loving son of the late William and Elizabeth Dahlem (nee Gerlach); brother-in-law of John and Bill Lenich; our dear great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Don loved his family with unwavering loyalty, dedicated to their happiness and well-being. He found peace in the quiet rhythm of gardening and joy in the pages of a good book, nurturing both the earth and his own curious spirit. A proud Past Master Mason of Bonhomme Lodge #45 A.F. & A.M. and lifetime member of Kaskaskia Lodge #86 A.F. & A.M. in Red Bud, Illinois, he carried the values of service, integrity, and brotherhood into all he did. His presence was a steady light, and his legacy lives on in those he loved. 

Services:  Funeral service at St. John United Church of Christ, 332 Old Sulphur Spring Road, Manchester, Saturday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Manchester. If desired, contributions may be made to Circle of Concern or Shriners Children's. Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, February 27, from 4-8 p.m. and at St. John United Church of Christ, Saturday, February 28, from 10-11 a.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
