DONALD's Obituary

            Donald E. Dossett, 89, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

            He was born April 26, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late John and Margaret Bethel Dossett.  Donald was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  He was also a Korean War U.S. Army veteran and had worked as an industrial supervisor with Glenwood Furniture Manufacturing and Alcoa.  Donald loved his family and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sharon Dossett; four brothers, Billy Dossett, Bobby Dossett, Tommy Dossett, and Henry Dossett; and one sister, Martha Majors.

            Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Alderson of Henderson, Kentucky; two sons, Donald K. Dossett and his wife, Karen, and Kent E. Dossett and his wife, Rhonda, both of Henderson, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Mindy Ligon, Danielle Cates and her husband, Ab, Kelsey Dossett, Kendra Alderson, Kent Robert Dossett, Brynn Lipking and her husband, Corey, and Kristen Alaine Dossett; 11 great-grandchildren, Emmy, Jesse, Jack, Josie, Loraine, Bexlee, Brylee, Bentlee, Baylor, Karlee, and Kaiden; four sisters, Susie Fauquher, Mary Louise Wootton, Mary Ann Woods, and Alice Burdick; two brothers, Steve Dossett and Mike Dossett; numerous nieces and nephews.

            Services will be at noon Monday, June 23, 2025, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Richard Meredith will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

            Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, and until 11 a.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 3 p.m. Sunday.

            Contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.

            Pallbearers will be Donald K. Dossett, Kent E. Dossett, Kent R. Dossett, Ab Cates, Corey Lipking, and Jesse Ligon.
