Donald was very active and loved many sports. He was a Lakers basketball fan, but mostly a BIG TIME Dallas Cowboys fan. He watched many of the games that ended his night with either a big smile or a big frown, but he always stayed loyal to his teams. Another of his favorite sports was volleyball, which he played for several years and won a large number of trophies playing in various leagues with an awesome team of family and friends. He also loved bowling, where he played in a bowling league with family and friends. He gave time to the community as well by coaching little league baseball at Spindletop for 10+ years, where he coached, umpired, worked the concession stand, and helped with anything needed at the facility.

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, Donald was visited by the angel of death and departed this earth, and now he rests in the arms of Jesus.
