He retired from Dominion Energy Yorktown Power Station with over 35 years of service. He was a member of McKenny Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents Isaiah and Eugenia Ramsey, sister Mary Margaret Ramsey, brother Rudolph Wayne Ramsey and is survived by his wife of 41 years Carol Ann Ramsey, daughter Christie Hawkins(James), son Donald Ramsey, Jr.(Jennifer), grandchildren Logan and Lauren Ramsey, siblings William Ramsey(Sue), Douglas Ramsey(Cindy), Eugenia Elder(Richard), and his best friend Andrew Wallace(Patty). Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Hospital. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
