Don you were my life - hero - my love and now that I don’t have you to walk with me in this world our hearts are still together the last words you spoke to me that is my strength to keep me going Some day we will meet again I know your looking for me cause I’m looking for you. The road I’m walking with out you will be lonely no one will ever take your place. You are my (Duck) Dad love and miss so much .

Donald Ray "Duck"'s Obituary

Donald Ray “Duck” Hendricks, 77, passed away at his home in Oklahoma City, on November 13, 2025.  The son of Joe Harding Hendricks and Eva Corrine (Smith) Hendricks Dorman, Don was born in Gracemont, Oklahoma on April 13, 1948.  

Don met the love of his life, Norma Jean Royal, at the movies in Anadarko and instantly fell in love.  They have been together for 63 years and married over 59 years since August 31, 1966.   

Don enjoyed coon hunting in his younger years and was known as quite a jokester and teaser.   He also loved drag-racing and could often be found at the Thunder Valley Raceway Park on the weekends.  Don was a hard worker and a very talented mechanic and carpenter.  He owned and operated Don’s Automotive for many years.  He and Norma attended the Highway of Holiness Church.  

Don is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jolene, Jim, Boyd, Clarence, Calvin, Susie, and LaQuetta.

He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Hendricks; children, Alan Hendricks of Helena, Karla Rodriguez and husband Antonio of Newalla, Jimmy Hendricks of Oklahoma City, and Steven Hendricks of Newalla; four grandchildren, Josh Hendricks, McKenzie Hendricks, Madalyn Hendricks, and Preston Hendricks; two great grandchildren, Michael Ray and Nevaeh; brother, Wayne Hendricks; sisters, Mary Helen Daughtry and Jean Butler; his beloved hound dog and poodle, Sambo and Thor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members, and friends.  

Viewing for friends and family will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 17, 2025, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.   Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
