My condolences guys ! Your dad was a good man ! I loved he made it up with all of you to my home for the family parties , loved he was always involved with you guys Your mom was always a very speacil lady to me growing up ! She stood by my side multiple times that I’ll never forget . I love all of you ! Don’t think I’ll be able to make it up for services but will be thinking of you guys !! Rest in peace uncle Don ! Donald Scott Sr.
Age 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 in Aultman Hospital. He was born June 28, 1946 in East Rochester to Raymond and Helen (Beamer) Scott. He was a press operator and foreman of Dyneer Inc. of Canton for many years and he retired from Wayne Dalton in Mt. Hope. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1964. He loved to spend his free time doing woodworking, playing with his dogs and being around family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Martin) Scott who died in 2005, 2 sisters, Virginia Willison, Carolyn Jordan and 2 brothers, Earl and Ralph Scott. He is survived by a daughter, Amy (Christopher) Kimble of New Philadelphia, 2 sons, Donald (Diane Noah) Scott Jr. of Bolivar, Gregory (Arlene) Scott of New Philadelphia, 3 sisters, Anna Yacklin of Minerva, Kathy (Quentin) Metheny of Kingswood, WV, Darlene Dotson of Manassas, VA, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
