Donna Benton

Donna Benton, age 63 of Nappanee, IN, died at 6 am on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at The Waters of Wakarusa, IN.  Donna was born on July 4, 1961 in Baltimore, MD to Ken and Norma (Shembarger) Emery.  Donna moved to the Nappanee area from Hartford, MI in 1995 and has lived in the area ever since.  In her younger years, Donna enjoyed flowers and working in her flower garden.  Throughout her life, Donna loved her various pets and loved and adored them all.  She enjoyed scrapbooking and preserving the memories she made with family and friends over the years.  In recent years, Donna enjoyed going to the races with her friends and was a fan of the Night of Destruction races at New Paris Speedway.  Above all else, Donna was a loving mother and grandmother.  She especially loved doting on her grandson.  Donna is survived by her son, Eddie (Kayla) Benton of Nappanee; a grandson, Ethan Benton, and a brother, Richard (Judy) Emery of Michigan.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025 with a funeral service beginning at 5 pm at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.  Pastor Frank Ramirez will officiate and cremation will take place after services.
