Donna trained me in FPI many years ago. She was a wonderful coworker and friend, and an excellent cook. We shared many stories and laughs together. She will truly be missed. Blessings.

I changed Donna's oil in her car for years. Really enjoyed talking with her when she came in. She was a good woman. Sorry for your loss.

Donna's Obituary

Donna Ann (Shepard) Coker, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the age of 85.  Donna was born in Elmo, Texas on July 17, 1940 to James and Myrtle Shepard.  She married Bobby Gene Coker in Elmo, Texas on September 20, 1958.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Raymond Clower, Paul Shepard, and John Allen Shepard; and her sisters, Delilah Parker and Nancy Childress.

She is survived by her children, Terry Coker and wife Kay of Fenton, MO, Don Coker and wife Janel of Burkburnett, and Jennifer Carter and husband Paul of Burkburnett; her brother, Charles “Butch” Shepard and wife Georgia of Elmo; her grandchildren, Ben Coker and wife Donette, Grady Coker, Tim Coker and wife Megan, and Kelsey Coker; her great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Elijah, and Emma Coker; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Donna was a quality inspector at Pratt & Whitney, Canada from where she retired in 2008.  She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting and knitting, and enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns.  Donna had a lifelong love of movies beginning with afternoons at the Iris Theatre watching the classics from the 50’s, but her favorites were The Godfather, Two Mules for Sister Sarah, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

The family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.  Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 at Elmo Cemetery in Elmo, Texas under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.

The family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Donna to Elmo Cemetery Assoc., PO Box 150, Elmo, TX 75118.
