I worked with Donna after completing Osawatomie LMHT training. It was a long time ago - 1975. Decades have passed but I never forgot her. She definitely was an inspiration to me. Sorry to hear this news but very grateful our paths crossed.

Ms. Donna is one of the greatest gifts anyone could be given with her grace, a nod, wink or smile you knew you had her attention or rather she had your attention. I will be forever grateful for the privilege and honor from the Darner family for sharing their mother with myself and the world. My prayers and condolences to Donna's family. I worked with Donna side by side with her in 1998. Later in my career, she gave me a second chance to work @ OSH in 2015 to present, at which time she was DON @ OSH. What a wonderful woman and Nurse to have been associated with. You will be missed by all.

This dear lady was truly one of a kind. I spent 10 years at OSH and it was an experience of a lifetime. I had the pleasure to serve Donna as a healthcare provider. Kendra, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart broke today when I got the call that Donna had passed. She really had a special place in my heart. I know she is at peace now and reunited with her love, which is such a blessing in itself. Donna was my Director of Nursing when I worked at Rainbow Mental Health Facility and also at Osawatomie State Hospital. She gave me my start in nursing supervision and taught me much about how to fill the role.
