She was great. Her twin sisters (Fonda) dated my little brother. Funny as hell. We had a great time in high school. Save me a seat up there!

My condolences and deepest sympathies are with y'all.

Blessed assurance this lady is an angel who walked on earth. Many years Donna and I were friends. She was always good to me my daughter my parents and my beloved Tipsy VonDoodle. Always will have precious fond memories of you Donna.

My first true crush, she was in 1st grade, I was in 2nd, St Mary's Catholic Church / School, North Vernon IN. My heart always skipped a beat or two when we were able to talk or see each other..... Now my heart is truely alone!

Much love and prayers for peace snd comfort to the family! Chip and I are so sorry for your loss.

Graduated high school woth Donna. Very nice person. Sympathy to the family and friends.

Her and I had a lot of good times back in our younger years. When I moved to North Vernon she one of the first people I met. She lived down the hill and around the corner in Indian hills in Vernon. She was always a friend. So sorry for the family’s loss.

DONNA's Obituary

            Donna Kay Herzog, 63, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.

            She was raised in North Vernon, Indiana, and graduated from Jennings County High School in 1980.

            She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth “Dutch” Herzog; and her stepfather, Robert “Bob” Powell.

            Survivors include her children, Heather Herzog (Dusty), Britney Smithhart (Shane), Morgan Thomas (Chris), Ariel Herzog (Aaron), and granddaughter and best friend, Natalie Kay; her mother, Judy Powell; her brother, Kenny Herzog; her sisters, Shari Cown (Trey) and Teri Dailey (Paul); other grandchildren, Taylor McGaugh, Davis McGaugh, Myles McGaugh, Brooklyn Moss, Dwaine Moss, William Gage Thomas, and Jude Auburn Thomas; her life partner, Tracy Daniels; her closest friend, Constance Alexander; her bonus son, Chris Davis; cousins; and nieces and nephews.

            A remembrance will be announced at a later date.

            Contributions may be made to New Hope Animal Rescue Center or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
