Not sure what to say?

Donna Jane was a wonderful Aunt. I loved visiting with her and Bob once a month with my other Aunts and Cousin. She lived with my Mother and Daddy and me in Austin before she and Bob met. I loved her so much and still do. Donna, please tell my Mother and Daddy I love them.

I’m so sorry for your loss Pam and Wayne

Donna's Obituary

Donna Jane (Glosson) Johnson died on September 22nd, 2025 at her home in Blanco, Texas surrounded by her family.

Born on October 30th, 1934 in Austin, Texas. Her father was Solon Bell Glosson, her mother was Jannie Mae (Jennings) Glosson.

She grew up in the Austin area with a large family, including 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

In 1950, she met Robert Eugene Johnson near Blanco, and they married on September 8th, 1952, enjoying 73 years together. They had three children together. Donald Eugene(Carol), Pamela Sue(Severn) Granberg, and Forrest Wayne(Melissa).

Bob was an Aircraft Mechanic in the US Air Force for 22 years, during those years they lived in Tampa, Florida - Wichita Falls, Tx- Ft. Worth, TX - Little Rock Arkansas - Goose Bay, Labrador - Rapid City, South Dakota - and Guam. She spent many days during those years “holding down the fort” on her own.

She enjoyed gardening and canning, sewing and crafting, and often did beading, and loved to bake.

She loved and served the Lord and was an active member of the Blanco Church of Christ for many years.

She was a loving, faithful, and devoted wife, always jumping in to support her husband and children in all their interests, activities and adventures. She was always selfless, putting their needs, and the needs of others, before her own.

After retiring from the military, she and Bob enjoyed many years of traveling and camping in places like Arizona and Alaska, Washington and Oregon, South Dakota and Colorado.

During those trips, some of her favorite activities were to visit with friends, fish, metal detect, pan for gold, hunt arrowheads, and most of all, collect rocks.

They settled permanently in Blanco in 1972 and began what became her most favorite hobby of her life, watching their family grow. She beamed every time a grandchild walked in the door.

She and Bob had 3 Children, 7 Grandchildren, 21 Great – Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, all of which she said were her greatest joy.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2025 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.
