Donna M.'s Obituary

At 66 years, she passed away on Wednesday April 2nd at the Beverly Hospital after a sudden debilitating illness.  Born and raised in Chelsea she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Primrose (Goodwin) Kermelewicz.  She attended Chelsea High School and was graduated with the Class of 65’.  In 1971 she was married to George Varoudakis, and together they shared the last 42 years with love and devotion. They settled in Danvers and together they raised their family of one daughter and two sons.  Donna was strongly devoted to home and family.  She also worked from home and at NE Caterers, a family owned business as its chief bookkeeper and office manager.  Donna possessed a very independent spirit, she enjoyed spending summers at the family lake house in NH, swimming and boating on Pine River Pond.   In addition to her family and beloved canine pet companion “Okie” she held an equal devotion to the Patriots and was a great “Tom Brady“ fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Kermelewicz, Jr and a her grandson Tyler Varoudakis She is survived her husband of 42 years George Varoudakis, Sr. in Danvers, Her daughter Denise Gregorio and her husband Joe of Middleton, her two sons and their wives; Anthony Varoudakis and his wife Stephanie of Byfield and George Varoudakis, Jr. and his wife Maria of Peabody. Her grandchildren; Kyra, Natalia and Andrew Gregorio and Matthew Varoudakis.  She is also survived by her beloved canine pet companion “Okie”.  Her Funeral will be held from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Tuesday, April 8th at 9:30 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church 59 Nichols St. Chelsea at 10:30 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Monday from 4 - 8 P.M. Funeral Home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite Funeral Home. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the MSPCA.
