Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing ......she was a wonderful person to know .

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother Linda. She truly holds a special place in her heart for all you have done for her. She is now resting peacefully.

Losing Donna was like losing a sister I didn`t get to see very much, It didn`t matter how long it was between our chances to talk, it was always like we just talked yesterday. Some of the best days of my life were when we went riding with our children or to the speed shows with them, and my visits to her in soldiers grove. Donna and her family will always remain a part of me.I only wish I could have seen her to give her a hug before she moved to her new pain free world. My thoughts are with...

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. She was like a second Mother to me when I was growing up. I'll never forget that beautiful laugh! She was a wonderful lady! Sending thoughts, prayers and hugs out to the family.

Donna's Obituary

Donna J. Pettit, 76, formerly of Soldiers Grove, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at her home in Appleton. She was born June 2, 1937, daughter of the late Clyde and Gertrude (Sopher) Fish, in Gays Mills. On December 28, 1956, she married Ernest Alvin Pettit. They had five children and raised them in Brillion on a hobby farm. Donna was a homemaker and worked on the hobby farm until the children went to school. Then she worked at Brillion Iron Works in the shipping department for ten years until she was disabled. Donna enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, riding horses, and going to speed events with her children. In her later years Donna loved to feed and watch the birds, especially hummingbirds. Her favorite time of the year was spring; as she loved to watch for her first robin, the grass turning green, and the flowers in bloom. Fall was her other favorite season, due to the changing colors of the leaves and no snakes around. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Forest Junction.Donna is survived by four children: Diana Genz, Brillion; John Wayne Pettit, Soldiers Grove; Linda (Daniel) Bloedorn, Appleton; and Ann Marie McCulloch, Soldiers Grove; seven grandchildren: Sheila (Levi) Aspenson, Jessica (David) Beilfuss, Ryan Genz, Christopher (Jessi) Goffard, and Jamie, Shae, and Donnie McCulloch; ten great grandchildren; a brother: Burl Fish, Mount Zion; many other relatives, and friends.Donna was preceded in death by her parents; beloved son, Ernest Alvin Jr. "Butch"; her ex-husband, Ernest; siblings and their spouses; nieces; and nephews, who are all in Heaven waiting for her to come home.Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Donna's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice and to Pastor Sean for their care and compassion.
