Dora Mae Manarky

Dora M. Manarky, age 88 of Perry, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her home.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Perry Chapel with burial to take place in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, MI at 3:00 pm.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2-8 pm.Dora was born on July 24, 1929 in Lansing to the late Clarence and Evelyn (Lashaway) Koenders.  She volunteered for Abigayle Ministries for many years.  Dora enjoyed reading magazines and spending time with her family.Mrs. Manarky is survived by her daughter, Betty Schultz of Perry; grandchildren: Susan (Gary) Lewis of Perry and Norman (Jessica) Schultz of Morrice; great grandchildren: Michael, Angel, Ashley, Gary, Shawn, Kristina, Alexander; sister, Beverly Berry of Flint; brother, Larry Koenders of Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1986; daughter, Frances Manarky in 1998; 2 sisters: Mary and Edna; 5 brothers: Robert, Clarence, Dale, Carl and Bill.Memorial contributions given in Dora's name are suggested to Feed The Children or St. Jude Children's Hospital.  Online condolences may be shared with her family by going to www.watkinsfuneralhomes.com
