Funeral services for Doris June Eanes, 79, will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery with the assistance of Kaleab Hodges, William Enriquez, Keegan Williams, Hunter, Braden and Marcus Wyatt.
A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Doris was born on October 2, 1945 in Ardmore. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Franklin “Jack” Lee and Dorothy Mae Bamburg Lee. She left this life for life eternal on August 14, 2025 in an Oklahoma City hospital.
She married Carlton Eanes on June 3, 1987, and they had celebrated 38 years together.
Doris was a cook for many years having worked at the Holiday Inn, Black Saddle, Terrace Inn, Crystalwood and Dornick Hills. She had also worked at the Salvation Army. She loved western movies and horses.
Doris is survived by her husband Carlton; sons David Hodges; James Hodges and Billy Hodges; daughters, Lisa Hodges and Kathy Riggs; a brother Danny Lee, 13 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Mark Hodges; daughter Debora Neasbitt her brothers, Ricky, Billy, Jimmie and Jackie Lee and a sister Barbara Sloan.
