I lived across the street from Dort as we called her, I grew up next door to where her mom lived with her brother Bug and Jerry, she was so full of energy all the time and always made time for everybody. since I used to spend a lot of time at her house because of being good friends with Ed Ron and Randal she almost felt like family she will be missed so from Bonnie and Roger love ya Dort as she always would say that when you left her house

What a wonderful, welcoming, vivacious person. She was such a pleasure to know and an asset to her family, friends and community. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. May she rest in peace in God's loving grace.

DOROTHY D. MISHLER (nee Lasecki), age 97, beloved wife of the late Joseph; mother of Edward (deceased) (Linda), Ron and Randy (Nancy, deceased); proud Grandma of Joe, Caitlin and Matthew; beloved GiGi of Callen, Amelia, Beau and Bennett; sister of Geraldine Armstrong and the late Frank, Walter, Andrew and Doloreta Lasecki; aunt and great aunt of many. Passed away October 10, 2025. Funeral Service Thursday, October 16, at 12 Noon in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of BEREA, 86 ADALBERT ST. (OFF FRONT ST. LOCATED IN THE POLISH VILLAGE HISTORIC DISTRICT) where friends may call THURSDAY 11 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Fr. Gerald Keller, Celebrant. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Malachi House, 2810 Clinton Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113.
Dorothy (Dot, Dort, Gram, Dor, GiGi) Mishler will be remembered by all, for her warmth, friendliness and generosity (and her phenominal fashion sense!) Dorothy made everyone who stopped by her house feel welcomed, cared for and stuffed with homemade macaroni salad, pierogies, cabbage and noodles or kołaczki’s. She never stopped giving, even up until her last month with us at Malachi House she was talking about needing to “feed the people!” She lived a long 97 years and got to spend lots of quality time with her great grandchildren and the rest of her family and long list of friends. Dot was well known in her neighborhood, having lived here all of her life and throwing her famous Clambakes and yearly Christmas Eve Bashes. We ask that we all move forward and live by Dorothy’s generosity and warmth to all people she encountered, no matter where she was, or who they were. In lieu of flowers, the family asks instead for donations to the Malachi house, where Dorothy spent the last 4 months of her long life being cared for by wonderful staff.
