Dorothy's Obituaries

Dorothy S. (Solski) Mitko, 90, of Monroe Township, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue in Linden on Saturday, August 12th at 10am. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 11th from 7-9pm. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden. Dorothy was born in Linden and resided in the Rossmoor Community for the past 13 years. She was employed by Park Plastics in Linden. She was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, member of the Ladies Auxiliary-Knight of Columbus, member of Casmir Pulaski Parade committee, and a member of Linden Senior Citizens Bowling. At Rossmoor Community she played on the Bocce Team and belonged to the Polish American Club and was a communicant of St. James Church and belonged to the Rosary Society. Dorothy is predeceased by her beloved husband, John Mitko (June 8, 2011), and her dear siblings, Adele Winkle, A. Helen David, William, Sigmond and Edward Stanley Solski. She is survived by her loving sons, Dr. John D. Mitko DVM and his wife Donna, Christopher G. Mitko and his wife Sherry, her 3 precious grandchildren, John M., Christopher G., and Alex T. Mitko. In lieu of flowers donations to St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg, NJ or a charity of your choice in her memory would be appreciated.
