Dorothy Rapine

Dorothy "Dottie" Rapine 87 of Harleysville, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Peter Becker Community.  She was the wife of the late Chester Rapine.Born October 12, 1930 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence Davidson.  Dottie worked for PECO for many years before retiring.  She enjoyed many things including traveling to various parts of the world, socializing with her many friends both old and new, and shopping (particularly clothes) with her good friend Kathy.  She volunteered at Peter Becker Community in the mailroom and the garden center and was a greater at church on many Sunday mornings.  She is survived by her brother Ralph Davidson and his wife Rita of Willow Grove, a niece Julie Fitzgerald and her husband Ed of Bellefonte and two great-nephews Eddie and Ryan Fitzgerald of Bellefonte.  Dottie also leaves behind her beloved sheltie "Jennie", who she enjoyed take walks with, delivering neighbors newspapers to their front doors in the morning and counting the airplanes in the sky at night.  A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 22 from 1-2 PM at Peter Becker Community Chapel, 800 Maple Ave, Harleysville, where a service will follow at 2 PM.  Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.
