Douglas Lee “Doug” Angles, age 66, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2025, while attending the Good Guys car show in Columbus with his son, Mason. He was born December 22, 1958 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Ralph Stanley Angles and Connie S. Nichols Angles. Doug was a 1976 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union and retired from ODOT, where he was employed for 14 years. Doug enjoyed going to car shows, tinkering in the garage, watching NASCAR, and having a good conversation with others. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kimberly J. Downard Angles; son, Mason Angles; aunt, Bobbi Jo Warrington; mother-in-law, Ruth Downard; as well as several cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Victoria Angles; and father-in-law, Kenny Downard. In keeping with Doug’s request, there will be no services and cremation followed his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
