Not sure what to say?

I graduated with Doug from Buckeye North HS "86". We group up only 2 blocks from each other and as children we always hung out in his yard and neighborhood. Looking back, He was a unique person from a very young age. I will best remember him from High School where he was such a funny guy to be around. We lost touch after graduation so it's sad to see that when I finally found out his whereabouts it had to be found in his Obituary. Prayer for his family. RIP old friend

I have fond memories of holiday celebrations with cousin Doug when we were young. He was savage at Uno and quick with a funny retort, always cracking everyone up.
My deepest sympathy to Becky and family during this difficult time.

May the love of God surround you and your family during this difficult time,
May you come to know that the love of God is with you always,

May your memories of Doug Ferguson, give you peace, comfort and strength

Rest now in the arms of our Lord your mission on earth is complete.
I thank you for your service to our Country and my Freedom.
You will not be forgotten...

and prayers to the family of .

Doug's Obituary

Douglas Scott Ferguson (58) passed away unexpectedly on January 25th, 2026.  Born to P. Richard and Dorothy McGahan Ferguson of Steubenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Horn) Ferguson, son Eric Ferguson, daughter Andrea Ferguson, and brother Richard (Janis) Ferguson.  He was a 1986 graduate of Buckeye North High, attended Bethany College, Ohio University (Business/Accounting), and Hocking College (Nursing). He graduated from Marine Boot Camp and served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany as well as Fort Drum. A long-time pizza delivery driver for Domino's Pizza in Athens, he also worked briefly as a nurse and commercial truck driver.

More importantly, he was a husband, father, and friend. He may not have always spoken the sweetest words, but he felt his feelings deeply and passionately. He will be remembered for his endless knowledge of seemingly infinite subjects and his many inventions. To those he allowed into his world, he will be remembered as the Mow-ron. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and he has left a hole in the hearts of those closest to him.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens from 4-6 pm on Saturday February 7, 2026.  Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register at www.jagersfuneralhome.com..
