Not sure what to say?

I send my deepest condolences to all Doug's family at this difficult time of loss. He was a dear friend who brought light-heartedness and laughter into my life. I will always remember his smiling eyes and his playful spirit especially with his children, sister Sue, and nieces. He loved the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was nature walks, coaching sports, pick up games on the basketball court or trips to White Lake State Park (a favorite family spot) he was always the one with energy...

Scott, Katie, David; My deepest condolences to you all at this time. I met Doug while working at Hanscom AFB and we quickly became friends. Not sure how we hit it off, but we did and I'm glad for that. I knew him as outgoing friendly and funny. Willing to listen, offer advice and helping hand. Always had a smile ready to uplift and encourage, crack a joke. I remember more than once during lunch passing the time and decompressing by either taking a walk or breaking out gloves and tossing a...

You know how you can just feel someone is a good person? I met Doug working at the IT service center at Hanscom, he was a lovely person, always kind, always courteous and always patient. I spoke with him several times and always looked forward to it. Very saddened to hear about his passing and I'm grateful for every tiny interaction we had, everyone is important. You'll be missed, thanks Doug for the smiles.

Doug was the first person I met when I arrived at Hanscom 8 years ago. The time I spent working with him really shaped my identity on who I am at Hanscom. He did nothing but encourage me over the years and it was all smiles when we caught up.

To Doug's family: He was my first friend at Hanscom and the way he treated me is the way I try to treat newcomers. My deepest sorrows to you all in this trying time but his kindness reverberates through my actions and the many other people he...

Doug has been and will always been in my heart.
I am fortunate to have him in my life for 8 years.
We spent a few months driving in together to the base and shared much fun.
My big Brother.
A kind man.
Doug put other people before him self,
Always caring.

This is a man who could ALWAYS be counted on at HANSCOM. He and I were in close contact when I joined the base in 2001. Always friendly. Always wanted to help. Always in control. Never let you down. Great personality. That's the kind of rare man our friend and co-worker was. It's a shame that sense of composure and professionalism doesn't just rub off merely by shaking hands. . . Thanks for covering my 6, Doug. Hanscom just lost one of its' best. . .

My condolences to the family. Doug was such a kind, happy man with a great sense of humor. He was always willing to help to resolve any IT problems. I often just popped in to see Doug to say Hi because his soft spoken conversation and his humor was very uplifting and a positive way to start the day. Such great memories we all have, he will be missed.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Doug was always such a friendly presence in the office! He would always stop by and ask how I was doing and of course was quick to get me anything I needed when I was a new to the office. I shall miss his kind smile and thoughtful words!
