Not sure what to say?

Doug was not very easy to lose expeshaly if you are part of his family like me. He was an amazing person and always loved and cared about everyone. Some people just new him by the name Doug others new him as the Candyman but I know him as grandpa raeth .

We were so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. He was extra special to my kids and always referred to him as "the Candy Man". He had such a servant's heart for the people at RCC and I know he will be sorely missed by everyone!

We were so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Ron just saw him at the golf course shortly before he became ill. My memory is of the Raeth Drive-In in the sixties. It was such a treat to stop in and get really good hamburgers and fries after delivering cherries to the factory during cherry season.

I only come home to Oceana County once a year, but for many past years, I spent a lot of time at Oceana GC. This past summer Doug and I were talking and he said “hop in and let’s go see the changes in the works”. I did and rode around the course with Doug. Though I had seen updates from my brother Corey Parmalee, was a great ride and amazing company! Doug, you will be missed from Naples, Florida.

Always a part of the OGC TEAM.

Doug was a friend to everyone, he will be sorely missed by his OGC Family!

Condolences to all the family. Doug was a great guy and will surely be missed.

Cheri and Kids,

What can we say about Doug? Doug was indeed a fixture at Rothbury Community Church, where we met him in 1996. There was no one quite like him. The kids will miss their Sunday 'Candy Man', the tykes will miss his gentle arms and voice at MOPS, the men will miss his fantastic breakfasts, we will miss him on 'Game Night' and the congregation will miss his booming voice when he praised our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If their was anyone with the gift of Service, it...

Mr. Raeth’s service to our country makes him a hero as far as we’re concerned and certainly you’re very proud of him, too. We want you to know that his brothers and...

Super Sub Doug! Thank you for the many times you subbed for not only me, but other members of the Monday Night Marauders. You are a true gentleman and you will be greatly missed!

Douglas's Obituary

There are people who depart life quietly, leaving no trace they were ever here. Their imprint on those around them is small and unlasting, washed away quickly by time until there is no remnant of their existence remaining. Then there are those who, like a steady breeze on a hot summer day, make...
