Douglas Lee Rollins, Sr., age 71; of 1220 Blythewood Lane, Suffolk entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021; in Autumn Care Nursing Home, Suffolk, Virginia.
He was born May 3, 1950 to the late Fannie L. and Sherman L. Rollins. Douglas Sr. was preceded in death by two brothers, Dalton C. Rollins and Darius L. Rollins; and a sister, Sharon L. Rollins. Douglas Sr. was a 1968 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and he attended Norfolk State University. He was employed by Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corporation until his retirement in 2016. Mr. Rollins, Sr. was a member of Perfected Praise Worship Center located in Franklin.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary and son, Douglas II, of Suffolk; his daughter (Joy Ballon), son-in-love (Ryan Ballon) and grandson (Estevon Ballon); two brothers, Rev. Robert Parker (Rosa) of Philadelphia, PA and Sherman C. Rollins of Suffolk; and other relatives and friends.
