Douglas Timothy Sorem

I am saddened to have just seen this. Dougie was a beloved teacher at Katharine Gibbs in the VISCOM & Interactive Media & Web Design programs. I last saw Doug & Kathy while on a visit to FL & hoped to see them again What an enthusiastic human being who brought real world learning to our students with humor and compassion Forever missed you’ll be!!!

Dear Kathy and family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this painful time. I was friends with Karen at St Xavier's Academy and RI College, and also enjoyed spending time with her entire family: Dad Sherlock, Mom Anna, and her equally talented and impressive siblings: Kevin, Mary and Douglas. I remember Douglas as so friendly and endearing and even though so many years have passed, I will always remember the fun times we all had. I will keep you all in my thought and prayers.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Karen, Tom and their family during this terrible time of loss. Be assured I will be keeping you and your family in my ongoing thoughts and prayers. May this provide some small measure of comfort.

Dear Kathy & Family:
It is with deepest sympathy on the passing of Doug. We go back to our time at LaSalle Academy and were very good friends. The LaSalle band brought us together and that friendship even extended to his and my parents ,along with my sisters.May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and all the Sorem family at this difficult time.

I would have known Doug because of Mary and Joe Lero. Sadly, only knew him during his last years at Dawn Hill. May Our Lord bless him now and always.

My deepest sympathy to Doug's entire Family. Doug was my Classmate at LaSalle Academy Class of 1969. He was a Great Guy and a talented Musician. It was so Great to see him at our 50th Reunión. I have many fond memories of Doug and may all the memories you have get you through this difficult time.Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorem was a gem and loved by so many. He was our teacher, our guide, our sounding board, our friend. He loved helping his students. Much love goes to Kathy and Doug , Jr and all who called him friend or family. His spirit will be missed. I am grateful to have known him. Rest now, Sorem. xo lizz
