Dr. Chris N. Bakris

I worked for Dr Bakris many years ago. He was a wonderful man and boss. Very kind and patient. Heaven gained a special angel.

So sorry to hear about about your Dad. He was a wonderful boss! I was his receptionist for many years. I still refer to his patients as my patients too! I remember when your mom would bring you two into the office to visit your dad! He was so proud of his family! He truly was the best doctor, friend and family man! May peace be with all of you !

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Chris Bakris was such a very good and gentle man and very good doctor. He was mine and my husbands doctor for many years. He will be dearly missed. I am praying for your family.

My Deepest sympathies to the family. I have known Dr. Bakris since I started college at DesMoines University. Dr. Bakris was considered a good physician and treated his patients and the medical students very well. I took my internship and residency in Detroit but came to Flint to practice and Dr. Bakris was up here. It was a pleasure to work with him again and treat patients together. I was very sad to here this news.

Dr. Bakris and his family were our (Piotraczk) neighbors on Bella Vista for many years. He was a devoted family man and husband to his wife Elaine. He was also my (Michael’s) Doctor. Coincidentally, after many years passed we became neighbors again. He was a joy to visit and talk with. Dr. Chris was also immensely proud of his children and grandchildren speaking of them often. Chris and my Dad, Mort Stanley, were lifelong friends and colleagues at FOH. Dad always spoke most highly of Chris as a human and a physician, especially later in life when they taught in the Family Practice residency program. I often bumped into Chris around town and he was always most pleasant and kind. He was a good man who led a good life.

I don't know where to start to describe such an amazing man, physician and gentleman. Dr. Bakris was our family physician since I was a teenager. He also took amazing care of my parents and would frequently make house-calls when they were unable to come to his office. I always kept in touch with both Chris and his wife Elaine even when I moved to the west coast and eventually married. The most precious years I had with him were the last 3 years.
