Charles R. "Charlie" Moore

CURWENSVILLE - Charles R. "Charlie" Moore, 67, of Curwensville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at his home.Charlie was born July 4, 1958, in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of Jerome Moore and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bobenrieth) Folmar.He retired from Kurtz Bros. after 41 years of employment. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to play cards with anyone who was willing to play. He surely will be missed.Charlie is survived by his mother, Betty Folmar of Curwensville; two children, Matthew Moore and Kristi Gillung; two grandchildren, Calin and Bella Carberry; four brothers, Jerome "Jay" Moore Jr. and wife Nening, Russell "Rusty" Moore and wife Diane, Martin "Marty" Moore and wife Jennifer, and Dale Moore and wife Kim; and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his father, Jerome Moore; a brother, Steven Moore; and an infant daughter.Honoring Charlies's wishes, there will be no public services.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., 408 Filbert Street, Curwensville, PA 16833; or to the Susquehanna River Trout Stocking Program, 688 Washington Avenue, Curwensville, PA 16833.Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
