Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dr. Mayo many years ago and he was a wonderful human being. He was gentle, kind, thoughtful, and a great veterinarian. Many great memories. I cried when I saw he had passed away. My condolences to his family and may he RIP.

Dr Mayo You were my number one vet to go to, I enjoyed our many political conversations and valued your knowledge on the subject, I have missed you as my large animal vet and conversations since moving to Kentucky in 2008 , I just learned of your passing and it saddens me. I hated to hear it.

He was a great vet. Super friend. Saved horses that had no hope. I loved him. May he now rest in peace.

I loved Dr. Mayo so much that I named my foal Friskey Doc Mayo. He always gave his best. My sincere sympathies to his family. He was a great man!

I sure do miss you Dr. Mayo. Thank you for so many years of service and knowledge. You were one of the best equine veterinarians I've ever known. All of my horses have passed on, but the memories of you sharing your knowledge and heartfelt compassion will live on. Rest in Peace Doc Mayo ❤

I am so very sorry and sad to hear/read this. He was my hero and truly a man of honor. My heart goes out to the family!

I was just thinking about my mentor from many years ago this evening and on a whim decided to look him up this evening. I was deeply saddened to find that he had recently passed. I have such fond memories of Dr. Mayo. When I was a college student visiting from Arizona State University, spending the summer with my family in Tampa, where my father was stationed in the Army, he kindly allowed me to shadow him and even paid me for the privilege of getting in his way (but he was always kind and...

My condolences to Dr. Mayo’s family. He was my trusted veterinarian for so many years but more than that, I considered him my friend. He taught me so much about livestock and life. What a sad day for all of us that had the pleasure of knowing him. His smile was infectious. I will greatly miss him and his kindness.
May you rest in peace, Dr. Mayo. Your work on this Earth is done.

I was so shocked to hear that Mark was gone and will truly miss him. I am a fellow 1980 UMC Veterinary College classmate. Mark was one of my veterinary anatomy team partners, a terrific human being and a great friend. We continued to meet from time to time as we both ended up and lived in the Tampa area-Brandon, FL. My deepest sympathy and best wishes to his family. His passing is a great loss to many.
