Dr. Ronald's Obituary

Ronald Clare Stroh, 75, of Blanchard, Oklahoma died on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with his wife by his side.

Ron was born in Harvey, IL on December 12, 1950 to Clare and Gloria Stroh. He spent his childhood in Illinois and continued his education at Governors State University.  He graduated from GSU with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Psychology.  He spent many years working with troubled youth in Illinois. In 1984, Ron answered a call to Christian ministry. He attended Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1987.  While at CTS, Ron met his wife Sandra and they married a week after graduation.  He was ordained into Christian ministry in June 1987.  In 1989, Ron and Sandy were called to pastor Northwest Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Oklahoma City.  While at Northwest, Ron completed his Doctorate in Ministry from Phillips Graduate Seminary.  In 1997, Ron and Sandy moved to Jacksonville, Florida where they pastored at Southside Christian Church, Disciples of Christ until retiring in 2007.  Upon retirement, they moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to their family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Leo Stroh and Gloria Eileen Stroh.  He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Stroh of Blanchard, OK; his children Jeffrey Holmes and wife Amber of Yukon, OK, Timothy Stroh and wife Nicole of Wichita, KS, Kimberly Reeves and husband Gregg of Oklahoma City, OK, Eileen Stroh of Katy, TX, Ronald Stroh, Jr and wife Magen of Wilmington, NC, and Matthew Stroh and wife Miranda of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren Whitney, Rex, Brianna, Ashley, Lauren, Sophia, Nicole, Rebel, Parker, Roman, Leightinn, Avery, Aydan, and Theodore; and his brother Daniel Stroh and wife Gale.  

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at First Christian Church in Moore, Oklahoma.  Private burial will be in Worley Cemetery in Oklahoma City.  Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard.  Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com
