Dragojla Petkov, 80, of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Union City, NJ and Belleview, FL died peacefully on November 18, 2016 at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Winter Park, FL. Born May 24, 1936 in Veliki Gaj, Serbia, Dragojla came to the United States with her husband and two small children in 1969 in search of a better life. Following their arrival and settlement in New Jersey, she had two additional children. Dragojla was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children immensely. She loved growing flowers, shopping and dressing in beautiful clothes. She also enjoyed taking long walks. More than anything, Dragojla loved to spend time with friends and family. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart and she was the happiest spending time with them. She was a wonderful, caring and kind person and was adored by all that knew her, especially her children. She is predeceased by her parents, Nedjeljko and Radojka Tasic of Veliki Gaj and her late husband of 44 years, Trajan Petkov of Nikolinci, Serbia. Survivors include her son Dimitrie (Irma) Petkov of Escondido, CA her three daughters, Milena Worts of Sparta, NJ, Sophia (Christopher) O'Keefe of Eustis, FL, and Ana Petkov of Orlando, FL. Grandchildren include Brandon, Bethany and Jaden Petkov; Kristina, Alexandra and Julianna Worts and Mikhail Shelton.Visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home at 806 W. Minneola Ave, Clermont, FL on December 7, from 6-8 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Shaw Memorial Cemetery in Belleview, FL on December 8, at 2 p.m. Becker Funeral Home of Clermont, FL handled all of the funeral arrangements.
