Col. Golvach, I as one of your students from Waukegan West High School carry with me everyday your teaching of leadership and compassion. You sir have assisted in the man I am today. Thank you Sir.

So sorry for your loss. Duane was a very nice man. We will miss him at the MOAA North Shore and West Suburban Chapter meetings.

Duane will be missed by all members of the Military Officers Association of America's North Shore and West Suburban Chapters. His valuable insight in resolving day to day situations was a benefit to all.

Golvach, Duane LTC, USA RetiredDuane passed away after a short illness on November 6, 2015 at the age of 78. Beloved husband for 52 years of Ute Golvach. Loving father of Michael Golvach and Andrea Golvach. Proud grandfather of Ian and Holly Golvach. Dear brother of Bonnie (Vito) Coraci. Uncle of Joe (Laura) Coraci and great uncle of Nico and Lexi Coraci.Duane had proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched.Visitation will take place on Friday, November 13, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM, at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL, followed by a service honoring Duane's life at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM at Ft. Sheridan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Duane's name may be made to MOAA Scholarship Fund, Military Officers Association of America, PO Box 320910, Alexandria, VA 22320.
