I knew Dwight for more than 30 years as a coworker and friend. We first met during the 1st Gulf War in 1991, and he worked for me and with me on various defense projects both in and out of uniform since then. He always had a bright smile and welcoming words whenever we met. I am going to truly miss him

Dwight was like a big brother to make. I admired and respected him as such. He was a man who loved and cared about his family. He cared about people. As a Manager and Supervisor, he cared about the people who worked for him. He had a keen sense of keeping a happy and lively atmosphere even during times of distress and pressure. Dwight was filled with charm and southern hospitality. When he moved from Ft. Eustis to Stafford. His new neighbor wasn't that excited about his arrival. However, Dwight wasn't phased at all. He simply demonstrated what it meant to be a good neighbor. When the man got sick and no one else came to his aid, Dwight took him food and checked on him. We will miss Dwight. We always enjoyed chatting with Dwight (and Bilko). Dwight and I shared so many opinions, laughs, and just plain goodness. We could have solved all the world’s problems if only the world would have listened to us.
