I have never known of a nicer man then ED. He was my friend. He would stop by to visit me at Bushe Ford Co whenever he was in the area. He was a good Christian man and a real family man. I have thought of him often and I know he will be missed by many.

Beautiful tribute to a great man and his wife. I didn’t know him like I did Ms. Martha. I’m so sorry for the loss. It’s bitter sweet that he is reunited with her but so sad for us left behind. Sending prayers. God bless .

Life's journey for Edmond Warren Heavner began on May 17, 1940, in McRae, Arkansas. He was one of thirteen children to William and Addie (Smith) Heavner and received education at the local schools.
As a teenager, he met Martha Brown from the Pleasant Valley Community. After only five months of courtship, Ed married the love of his life. The ceremony took place on October 9, 1958 and was performed by Rev. Clay. Ed and Martha Heavner chose to remain in the Brinkley area to make their home and raise a family. They were blessed with the birth of one son. Sadly on June 29, 2020 the family experienced the loss of Martha.
Living in the country, Ed no doubt enjoyed all things outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He also liked big trucks and in his career as a farmer Ed and his son Tim became well known hauling grain, as the owner and operators of Heavner Trucking Company.
Ed was a longtime member of the Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling and most of all spending time with his family. On May 12, 2022 at the age of 81, Ed passed away in North Little Rock at Baptist Spring Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years, Martha Brown Heavner, sibling, Jesse Heavner, Herschel Heavner, Ralph Heavner, William "Dub" Heavner, Brence Heavner, Aline Tolar, Gladys Fowler and Barbara Bryant.
He is survived by his son, Tim Heavner and wife Jennifer of Brinkley, brothers, Larry Heavner and Bobby Heavner, both of Little Rock, sisters, Joyce Sprinkle Phil of Huntsville, Mary Sprinkle of Horseshoe Bend, four grandchildren, Colton Heavner, Tyler Lumpkin (Taylor), Craig Wiggins (Autumn) and Matthew Robinson and one great grandchild Mattie Wiggins.
Visitation will be on Sunday May 15 at the Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Services will be on Monday May 16 at 10:00 A.M. at the Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
