Edd's Obituary

Edward L. “Edd” Consoer of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday afternoon at home.  He was 71.

Edd was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #483, life member of Murat Shrine and Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Past President of Montgomery County Shrine, member of Indianapolis Court 15 of Royal Jesters,  Christ’s United Methodist Church, Montgomery County Lodge #50 of F & AM, Eagles 1005, Moose Lodge #6, Kowad al Sabikin, Sons of American Legion and Sons of American Vets.  He loved going to Punta Gorda, Florida each year.  He started working at his father’s Standard Oil station on West Market Street and later worked at CEL&P until Oct. 1982, then to Pace Dairy, where he retired in 2003.

Born Dec. 9, 1946 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Everett Consoer and Lela Wacker Consoer.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School, class of 1965.  He married Judy Tendam Jones on July 20, 1991 and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Judy Consoer, he is survived by: son, Brian (Susan Risner) Consoer; two step-sons, Steve (Karen) Jones, Brian (Tammy Paul) Jones; brother, Terry (Carol) Consoer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, friends, acquaintances and people who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with Edd’s wishes, there will not be a service.  Arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.
