Eddie was a fabulous neighbor to my parents on Oakwood Drive. We thought of him as one of our family.

I always felt safe when I would met up with him at the bars in town. He told me so many times how he loved my singing voice and everytime that he loved me!! Our friendship was truly a blessing and I am so happy he was apart of my life and could call him my friend. I will forever love you Eddie and I truly miss you! Watch over me with Tom up there.

Eddie's Obituary

Eddie Raymond Hatchett, 59, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Baptist Health Lexington. Born in Frankfort, KY, on September 4, 1966, Eddie was the son of Donnie and Sylvia Willard Hatchett of Lawrenceburg.

A graduate of Western Anderson High School, Eddie was a gifted athlete and is remembered as a standout shooter in Eagles basketball history. He enjoyed watching UK basketball and spent much of his career working as an auto mechanic at various shops in Lawrenceburg. Eddie cherished time with his grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is survived by his fiancé, Patricia “Trish” Overstreet; two daughters, Lauren Hatchett and Sydney Hatchett; three grandchildren, Baxtyn Hatchett, Parker Hatchett, and Ezra Reed; and his close friends, Jimmy and Charles Fischer and Sammy Jack Vittitow.

In accordance with Eddie’s wishes, no public services will be held, and he will be cremated.
