Eddie Hawthorne Sr. age 89 of Gary, IN passed away at home on June 19, 2014. He was born May 14, 1925 in Butler, AL, to the late Ed and Carrie Bell Hawthorne. He united in Holy Matrimony to the late Pearl Madison in 1947. To this union, seven children were born. He retired from LTV Steel, formerly known as Youngstown Sheet and Tube.Services will be held on June 28, 2014 at Williams Chapel COGIC, 2201 Tennessee Street, Gary, IN 46407. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Home going services will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Anthony K, Williams, officiating.
