Eddie Jenkins, Sr., a retired Merchant Seaman, departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center, Westbank on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. A Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. He served on the Usher Board at St. Matthews United Methodist Church. Husband of Vera Jenkins. Father of Constance (Kevin) Burns, Wanda Jackson, Charleane (Jesse) Hunter, Shelita H. Weber, Michael Jenkins, Eddie Jenkins, Ernel Jenkins, David Jenkins, Charles Harrison, Quince Jenkins and the late Clarence Green. Son of the late Helen Beloney and William Jenkins. Brother of Carl (Gail) Beloney and John (Freddie Mae) Beloney. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family. Age 83 years.
